Arabian Spices combines some of the hottest moves on the Tribal Bellydance scene with the powerfully rhythmic grooves of DJ Kambo for an intense and earthy Tribal Fusion creation. An Intermediate level choreography, Arabian Spices teaches moves and technique that every dancer can use to spice up her style.
The DVD breaks the choreography down into 11 saaay combinations, designed for ease of study. Each combo is demonstrated, then broken down slowly, with attention given to technical isolations. The combinations are then repeated several times at tempo. Small groups of combinations are reviewed together to build the choreography. The DVD ends with a performance of Arabian Spices by the Urban Gypsy troupe.
Sahira is the founder / director of the Urban Gypsy dance troupe. Her extensive training includes not only American Tribal style, but also Middle Eastern, and West African dance. Sahira was the first instructor ever to teach Tribal style at the prestigous Ahlan Wa Sahlan festival in Cairo.
