Mahmoud Reda is considered the pioneer of Egyptian dance in theatre and an important figure in the history of Egyptian culture. He is founder and choreographer of the first Egyptian theatre dance company "The Reda Troupe". Thanks to his studies and creatitivity historical dance forms have been preserved which would have otherwise been lost.
To celebrate his 75th birthday, dancers fron many countries performed a tribute in his honour as the Gala event of the first Andalusi and Arabic Dance International Festival- "Raks Madrid '05", expressing Reda's art faithfully, with elegance and emotion.
