Born In Lebanon, Ziad was raised in a musical family and he became fascinated with drums at a very early age. By age 12, Ziad was performing for concerts of 1500 and became known as the 'miracle drummer'.
Ziad and Suhaila first worked together in 1990 which led to a series of collaberations from stage to studio.
'Freedom' the first piece, tells the story of evil against good with strong thunderous percussion giving way to tranquil peace. In the second piece, Suhaila with her finger cymbals do battle with Ziad's drumming, matching beat for beat in an exciting duet.In 'Wild Winds' the rhythms echo sounds of thousands of years in the mysterious Middle-Eastern deserts.
